I was so excited to finally try pasta ramen after hearing all the hype for the past year. it's a unique japanese italian fusion menu that i havent really seen anywhere else. i can see how the inside can get crowded but luckily my friends and i were seated at one of the larger tables near the front window. i wouldnt recommend coming with a group larger than 4 and definitely not baby friendly so leave the kids at home. hands down the best thing were the clams and foccaia. i could bathe in the sauce! imagine a classic white wine clam sauce but a little creamier with hints of miso. its an obsession and the foccaia underneath stays crisp and soaks up all the amazing sauce. the bao buns were a must miss unfortunately. we tried porchetta and the chicken one; both had too many flavors going on. i did love the mocktails, super bright and refreshing. both pastas we tried were delicious and it was fun to try a blend of flavors i had not experienced before, especially in such familiar italian dishes. it's a great date night spot or place to have a fun dinner with friends!

Amazing! The food was delicious and fresh. The server really told us how to navigate the menu as they are mostly shareable items. We loved every item - our only thing was the noodle is a thicker noodle (udon). Would have loved a thin noodle option as well. We had our reservation at 6 and were out the door by 6:35. We did not feel rushed, food just comes extremely fast but quality is always amazing. There is music but I was still able to hear my husband as he was talking. 10/10 if I could.

Unfortunately, the AC was broken when we visited, but the restaurant made up for the inconvenience by offering complimentary strawberry refreshers and providing fans throughout the venue. The ambiance combines modern, industrial, and retro elements, featuring an open kitchen and 2010s hip hop music. It was packed on a Thursday night. Pasta Ramen is perfect for a night out with friends or a special occasion. I would definitely return to try more menu items!

Came here for my birthday dinner. Warning: you do have to book out in advance so make sure you watch when they drop their next month schedule. The service was great, the ambiance was really nice (darker lights, classier feel), and the food was amazing. The presentation and most importantly the taste, makes me wanna go back ASAP. This spot is BYOB and although we forgot to bring our own, we ended up just having their delicious lemonades.

Took someone here who was coming in from out-of-town, I literally made this reservation in March because I knew it was so special. While I made the reservation months ago, when the day came, the reservation had an issue and fire department came in so my reservation was canceled. They responded promptly to my email and fit me in 2 days later at prime dinner time! The staff was extremely accommodating. They gave us the cucumber salad and bao zeppolis on the house because they appreciated that we still came. Food was delicious! For two people, we originally ordered to split tofu and chicken baos, mochi ramen carbonara, and pinsa romana (like a sushi pizza). We also had the cucumber and dessert baos that they gave us and were super full. Everything has so much flavor and is so unique. My favorites (in order) were chicken bao, tofu bao, cucumber salad, mochi ramen carbonara, and pinsa romana, but everything was so yummy. Such a good vibe inside and amazing food.

A must go in Montclair. My husband and I came here for dinner after exploring the town as a potential forever neighborhood and this delicious meal sealed the deal. Chef does an amazing job with these fusion dishes. The carbonara is a bowl of warmth and umami. The scampi was so bright and delicious with the lemon. Out of the bao buns, the porchetta was incredible. It was so meaty and tender (not too fatty which porchetta often is). We just wished there were even more options on the menu - particularly on the pasta/ramen dishes. The staff was friendly and helpful. The vibe was super cool. All around great experience. We will be back to try everything on the menu!

I was pleasantly surprised to be able to get a reservation at Pasta Ramen as quickly as I did. Their reservations fill up quickly and one can reserve a month out. The food my son and I ordered was absolutely delicious! The portion size was perfect! I loved the fusion of Japanese and Italian cuisines. I can't wait to go back to try other dishes! The ambiance was modern and fun, including the bathroom! We will definitely be back!
